Handcrafted Tufted Wall Hanging

Jesse made this with a wall hanging with cut pile rug tufting gun using 100% wool yarn. The piece is 10” x 14” in cream/blue sage colours.

In Jesse's word: "I am a maker of textiles in many forms. I avidly sew, crochet, punch needle, and have now added rug tufting to the roster. My interest in textiles is ever in process. And really, the process is my favourite part. I love learning how textiles are made, the histories behind the craft, and the social and political contexts in which craft movements began. I use my grandmothers’ tools, marvel at these women carved out time to constantly create with five children each, and learn about their sewing tips and tricks from family members. In short, the stories of textiles."
