Note: The campaign described below was originally designed in June, 2025. We at CFOS recognize that since then, Prime Minister Carney, the Canadian government and other governments around the world have issued further statements and taken further actions. We continue to encourage you to contact Prime Minister Carney, advocating for Canada to place diplomatic and economic pressure on Israel to end the attacks genocide and humanitarian siege on Gaza.
You may wish to use the text we have provided (see below) as the foundation for a letter to the Prime Minister and to add more current information. However, you may also simply print the provided message and send it as is; we believe that it will still have a significant impact in communicating your concerns and your desire for Canada to contribute to a just peace in Palestine/Israel. Dear Friend
Our many letters and contacts with the Government of Canada over the past months have shown some signs of effect. On May 20, Prime Minister Carney said in a statement that “if Israel does not cease the renewed military offensive and lift its restrictions on humanitarian aid, we will take further concrete actions in response.” (See full statement here)
Let's hold him to that commitment! Now is the time to keep the pressure on. Please write again using one of the options for taking action below. What would boost our impact even more is to have those who have not yet written send a message, saying they agree with the Canadian government's assessment that "the level of human suffering in Gaza is intolerable" and urging the Prime Minister to make good on his promise to take action.
Attached is the template of a message to Prime Minster Carney. You can use this to send your own message. More importantly, can you think of 10 people you know, who are concerned about what is happening in Gaza but have not yet contacted the Government of Canada? Please reach out to them today and invite them to send a message by mail. We purposely made the message simple and supportive, to appeal to as wide a spectrum of folks as possible.

3. Print up extras of the mailing template and take them to friends, family, neighbours, church, and community gatherings. Invite those new to raising their voices to take part in this campaign. The file has multiple copies of the message, to help with more efficient printing for larger numbers.
