Vancouver - FOSNA and CFOS Present: Huwaida Arraf, co-founder of the Gaza Freedom Flotilla

Dear friends,

We warmly invite you to An Evening of Witness: Sailing for Gaza, Thursday, August 20th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM (doors open at 6:30).

This evening brings together courageous voices who have taken part in the movement to break the siege of Gaza, including participants in the Global Sumud Flotilla. We will hear from Huwaida Arraf, Palestinian-American human rights attorney and co-founder of the International Solidarity Movement; and Sebastian Tow, a Vancouver activist and one of twelve Canadians who attempted to sail to Gaza with the flotilla this past April.

Their testimonies offer a rare, firsthand window into the ongoing effort to challenge the blockade and stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza. We hope you will join us for what promises to be a moving and important gathering.

The event is free, but registration is required here

This gathering is co-hosted by Friends of Sabeel North America, Canadian Friends of Sabeel, Independent Jewish Voices Vancouver, Christians for a Free Palestine Vancouver, Apartheid-Free Communities BC Chapter, Trinity Grace United Church, and Shaughnessy Heights United Church.

With hope and in solidarity,

CFOS
